Study Groups

Some subject areas have large numbers of students. In this case, a study group may be set up.

Why join a study group?

This is the best way to beat procrastination! Many students begin to study for tests just before the exam, realize they won't have enough time, and then are disappointed when they don't do well on the test. When students join a study group, they meet at scheduled times with their peers, review course material regularly, and are better prepared when it is time for the test. Studies show this works much better than a last minute cramming session.

How do I join a study group?

The study group will be led by either an instructor or a student tutor. Students interested in a study group should email Student Success. Pre-registration is required to participate in a study group.
