Training includes basic NFPA 1001 (firefighter 1) classes and more specific, detailed department drills including live burn, confined space, auto extrication, grain bin rescue, and farm machinery rescue.

Alexandria Technical and ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ students from the college’s business-focused programs are headed to Austin, Texas, to compete in the Collegiate DECA international competition.

Alexandria Technical and ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ cybersecurity students took second place in the annual Minnesota State IT Center of Excellence Minnesota Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) on January 27, 2024.

Alexandria Technical and ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ Mechatronics student Eli Haakenson was named SkillsUSA Minnesota state secretary. Haakenson is a first-year student from Albertville, MN.

In a first-of-its-kind regional event, various Minnesota high school eSports teams from across the state will compete for the inaugural Battle in the North title. The two-day event will be held on February 17-18, 2024 at Alexandria Technical & ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ in Alexandria, Minnesota.
